Pero mucha gente ni siquiera sabe qu\u00e9 es el mindfulness.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>El t\u00e9rmino en ingl\u00e9s hace referencia al estado de atenci\u00f3n plena, en el que pones todo tu foco en la actividad que est\u00e1s realizando, ya sea esta actividad parte de tu rutina, o un hobby, una actividad f\u00edsica. La pr\u00e1ctica requiere que dirijas tu atenci\u00f3n durante un per\u00edodo de tiempo a uno de los cinco sentidos: gusto, olfato, tacto, vista u o\u00eddo<sup>1<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Puedes empezar con uno o dos minutos y, con pr\u00e1ctica regular, aumentar este tiempo. Seg\u00fan la ciencia, tanto la meditaci\u00f3n como el mindfulness te ayudan a estar m\u00e1s en sinton\u00eda con tus emociones, tu mente y tu cuerpo. Ambos, cuando se reconcilian, te permiten gestionar tus pensamientos, y as\u00ed aportan una mayor sensaci\u00f3n de equilibrio y paz<sup>2<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Adem\u00e1s de contribuir a reducir el estr\u00e9s, el mindfulness tambi\u00e9n ayuda a reducir la rumiaci\u00f3n<sup>3<\/sup>. Cuando nuestra mente no est\u00e1 concentrada, a menudo activa la <a href=\"https:\/\/umajuda.com.br\/es\/entendendo-as-reflexoes-inconscientes\/\">Red de Modo Predeterminado<\/a>, una regi\u00f3n del cerebro que puede llevarnos a reflexionar sobre el d\u00eda, sobre situaciones futuras, y que induce ansiedad e incluso depresi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Otro efecto positivo de estas pr\u00e1cticas es la mejora de la <a href=\"https:\/\/umajuda.com.br\/es\/o-que-e-a-memoria\/\">memoria<\/a> de trabajo, esencial para actividades cognitivas m\u00e1s complejas, como el procesamiento del lenguaje, el razonamiento y los juicios<sup>3<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Estas pr\u00e1cticas tambi\u00e9n mejoran nuestra concentraci\u00f3n, contribuyen positivamente a la autopercepci\u00f3n, la <a href=\"https:\/\/umajuda.com.br\/es\/o-que-e-regulacao-emocional\/\">regulaci\u00f3n emocional<\/a>, aumentan los niveles de empat\u00eda, compasi\u00f3n y mejoran nuestra capacidad para relacionarnos con las personas. En general, son valiosos para mejorar la calidad de vida<sup>3<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Por eso, aunque inicialmente no lo parezca, la meditaci\u00f3n y el mindfulness son pasos importantes en la b\u00fasqueda del desarrollo personal.\u00a0<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>\u00bfQu\u00e9 tal empezar hoy? Antes de ir a dormir, elige un lugar c\u00f3modo, deja el m\u00f3vil a un lado, controla tu respiraci\u00f3n y libera tu mente de preocupaciones. Poco a poco podr\u00e1s llevar esta pr\u00e1ctica a otros momentos de tu d\u00eda.
